There have been many roads, circumstances, twists and turns that have led to the formation of Savage Animal Foods. Let me share a few of the biggies:
- My oldest son Erik lovingly known as “Savage” passed away 1/17/22. Erik had become a body builder and a “beast” in his eating habits which bled over to me.
- Dabbing my foot into the nutritional realm of foods we consume. Documentaries and research have left me disgusted with our nation’s food practices and what has become a complacent acceptable society and good enough government guidelines and practices.
- All this bled over to my dog, Artemis', food supply, which is even more horrendous than ours.
All this led me to giving up meat and committing to stop feeding inferior sub-standard food to my dogs. Two years later this journey has led me here. Savage Animal Foods LLC is a cat and canine concierge service. We are a small start-up. We are consumers and real people just like you, with the same questions about feeding our pets. I know everything we read, see and hear about this highly debated subject can be confusing and contradictory. Life is hectic and there are never enough hours in the day to do everything. Feeding the human side of the family is difficult enough and now we are pressured and guilted into cooking for our pets too! I think, well, no, I know Savage Animal Foods can help!
Our personal and business philosophy is:
- Do the right thing, even if it is hard
- Nothing good comes from doing the wrong thing
- Dirty hands-clean money
- Do unto others as you would have others do unto you
- Be as honest and transparent as possible
